Last night we had a HUGE party at the Muay Thai gym bar for Lisa's birthday. Everybody partied there, then went to Freedom Bar, then Laguna dance club. I stopped at Candy Bar for a short bit, too. Oh, and Manao, another bar that my Thai friend Ping-Poong manages (hence a guaranteed free whiskey). It was a lovely time, especially since Lisa and Viola were my previous roommates and we had some lifestyle differences even though we had some fun times and good laughs, too. Since I moved out, we haven't seen each other much and have just respected each other's space. Since everybody here gets along so well and the gym attracts such lovely energy, I really felt bad about any possible bad feelings. But part of life is learning that not everybody is a great match in terms of living together, and that everybody doesn't have to be best friends.
So, since we hadn't spoken much since I moved out, when Lisa and Viola called me over to do a shot with them it really was a highlight of my evening - and a big surprise to me. We talked a bit, and the energy is definitely better, which is wonderful. Especially since we are living in a paradise and are all here to better ourselves; why waste any of our precious energy on unnecessary drama? We're all adults, you know? And we all make mistakes. I always feel that everybody, no matter what their differences, has more in common than not, and I have always gotten along with a broad variety of people, and prefer life that way. Like I said, I don't believe in having to apologize for who I am (nor do I expect others to), just for actions or mistakes. I do my best not to judge others, but I have a strong personality and I'm okay with the fact that maybe I'm not "for everybody". Plus, you're living 3 to a room here in the shared housing; there's always going to be some sort of issue, it seems, LOL! That's just life!
So, in a nutshell, everybody had a wonderful time, and the party was a raging success with a huge turnout. Lisa appeared to have a blast as the belle of the ball, and I'm happy she enjoyed her night because she's been working hard since she got here and deserved every moment . . . . and every shot of Tequila she took. Which was a lot, LOL!
Here's a few shots of the evening . . . . .
I'm DEFINITELY not a shots girl, which is fine because then there's more Tequila
for Lisa, LOL! And she's allllllllllll about it, ha ha ha. This was pre-shot, as you can
tell by my smile instead of the look of pain. Although actually, it wasn't that bad. Lisa only drinks the finest Tequila . . . . .
Such a cute shot!
