My Room

When I first got here, I lived in the shared housing at the gym. They sleep 3 to a room, have a small kitchen (no stove) and a bathroom (uh, obviously). There's pretty much 3 rooms in a row, and out front is what we have dubbed The Front Porch, where many congregate. The shared housing is about 50 feet from the gym. For all you non-Americans, that's like....er....16 meters (or something). You can see from all the pictures that we are very serious about our fans around here, LOL! There is one at the foot of every bed, but rest assured (no pun intended) it gets pretty cool here at night.

This is the front of the Shared Housing from inside the gym, looking out. See? Very close!

Last weekend I made the decision to move INTO the gym, where there are 3 rooms that each house two students. This is what the inside of my new room looks like.

As you can see below, I'm not lying about "living in the gym". Literally, when I open my door, there is the ring. I have to share a bathroom/shower and I have a fridge but no kitchen counter or sink, but it's not that big of an issue, honestly. And it's the best way to make sure you stay on track with your training. You literally will wake up to yelling, bags being punched, the whistle being blown, and Petsila saying "Jab! Jab!" right outside your door. It's great, though, and I couldn't be happier with the decision!
