Rawai Gym Video: I'm In It (live!)

So, yesterday morning I roll out of bed with the feeling that I could sleep another 5 hours. I strictly got out of bed, groggy as hell, for my VIP with Petsila, which I regretted sheduling so early, to be perfectly honest. I've just been so tired lately it's RIDICULOUS, and I know it's because the new interval/circuit-training I'm doing with Lindsey is shocking my body the same way the Muay Thai does when you first arrive, so I'm glad for it overall, it's just been hard for me.

Danny, the internet manager, tells me that people have emailed him asking about me and what I'm like in person, so he asks if I want to say some words at the end of a slideshow he's putting together from the students trip to Phi-Phi Island (that I didn't go on but all my friends did) and of Lisa's Birthday Party last weekend.

Of course, I didn't want to. I couldn't even think and looked like hell. I had JUST woken up, was totally groggy and in Tuesday morning training clothes that I threw on for my VIP with Petsila, and couldn't put two words together. Honestly, I kept asking him what I should say. He would tell me, and then I'd be like, "So...what should I say, then?" (LOL!) Normally I'm not at a loss for words, but this was a little bit different, LOL!

BUT I love Danny, his energy is amazing, and hell, why not, right? So I filmed a minute or two, as a first take, and then we say we'll do one more go at it.....

I see Fin, our head trainer/coordinator, and Namsaknoi, 6 time Lumpinee World Champion who is visiting our gym for two weeks, over at the fruit cart, and tell Danny I should go stand with them. Of course he agrees. What I DIDN'T know the second time around is that Danny was filming me walking over, then me asking him "if he was filming yet", LOL! Plus he said he was filming me from the chest up the first time, as I requested, so I had my hand across my stomach the whole time out of nerves and because I didn't think it was being filmed (and it doesn't help that I was pms-ing big time, sorry fellas!) I mean, I generally don't even like being in pictures, let alone videos!

BUT I did have a fun time introducing everyone and saying Hi to Bob. Naturally I forgot to say hi to Chia-Chi, Mona and a million others, so to all my dear friends whom I forgot to mention, please just remember that I had just rolled out of bed. I mean, I didn't even mention NBoldamsaknoi's accomplishments, lol! Danny is the one who suggested Bob, otherwise I probably wouldn't have thought of his name either in the state that I was in!

All in all, it did inspire me to do some video blogs in the future, because it IS nice to see people's personalities (when they are awake, lol!) Lindsey, my good friend who is brutally honest, said I looked a bit rough, but hey, I'm sharing it with you all anyways because Danny did a brilliant job on the slideshow and it was a huge compliment to be asked to participate in it to begin with, regardless of my self-consciousness in front of the camera! I promise my future video blogs will be a lot better, guys! My eyes will be open and everything...... ha ha ha.

Featured in the video also is a huge array of my friends here as well. I truly love this gym and the beautiful personalities it attracts! I feel so lucky to be here and cannot wait to get back.

So, without further ado..............

Danny's excellent slideshow, full of my friends (er, including some of me from Lisa's birthday party - a total blur for most of us!) and then complete with me, Fin (one of my favorite trainers) and the very famous six-time Muay Thai world champion, Namsaknoi, at the end, live and in the flesh. Enjoy! And go easy on me, guys, LOL! I just watched it again and I'm dying....argh!

I will say my favorite parts are like at 1:23, of Noi and her baby Nathan (TOO PRECIOUS!) and then like at 2:20 (or something like that) of Lisa pouring her Tequila shot at her birthday party. HILARIOUS!

P.S. Even though it was only a few minutes later after the video, my VIP training with Petsila was among the best Muay Thai instruction I've had yet. I mean, amazing. He taught me tons, I went full-on, and the best part is that I KNOW I wasn't punching like a girl; I was punching harder than ever and I felt it and he knew it, too. It felt GREAT (despite whatever I did to my shoulder a few weeks ago that is still bothering me). I'm doing another Saturday, and cannot wait. It's AMAZING how quickly you progress around here, and I want to be sure I remember everything he showed me........
